Join artist Tenesh Webber for an immersive, hands-on workshop exploring the expressive potential of charcoal and pencil in creating monochromatic abstract art. Inspired by her exhibition Off Grid: Drawings and Prints, participants will delve into the fundamentals of line, form, and composition to create unique abstract images that capture both structure and spontaneity. Through guided exercises and individual experimentation, this workshop will encourage participants to engage deeply with texture, shading, and mark-making, celebrating the subtle power of monochrome.
Open to all skill levels, this session offers a rewarding journey into the expressive world of minimalist abstraction.

This project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrant program, aprogram of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Kathy Hochuland the New York State Legislature and administered by Flushing Town Hall.
